Being the local decorator in Wilmslow. I was asked to re decorate a bedroom for a regular client of mine.
I arranged to meet up and quote for the job one evening that suited us both. The client wanted the dated wood chip removed and then the walls painted out in a colour of his choice. They liked the ceiling as it was and so decided to paint the ceiling with two coats of Dulux Trade Brilliant white.
The quote was agreed and a start date given.
The stripping of the wood chip went quite well as far as wood chip goes. Once i had removed it all I could tell that the walls would benefit from being lined out.
For the lining we chose the non woven lining which i find a great product for painting onto. As with all my Lining and wall covering work the joints are always sound, so” no need for filler on my Lining”. Them Butt joints are invisible.
With installation of the lining completed and colour of paint agreed (Farrow & Ball – Strong white)
It was time for the paint!!! The walls were cut in and then Rolled out. The walls are given two coats of emulsion. In between the coats of paint I like to fine sand the walls with 240 grade sand paper via dustless sander .
For the doors, architraves and skirting the customer had chosen a satin water based paint. On this occasion we went with Dulux Diamond Satin.
The end result is really good using this combination of materials. That means a happy customer and me a happy decorator.
